APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A brave girl risks everything for her supernatural protector in this stirring romance from acclaimed young-adult author Maggie Stiefvater (Lament). When hunters go after a pack of wolves they believe are responsible for a death in their Minnesota town, 17-year-old Grace tries to protect Sam: the werewolf who saved her life six years earlier. Told from the perspectives of its star-crossed protagonists, Shiver is a heart-wrenching twist on a classic legend and a rousing start to Stiefvater’s bestselling werewolf trilogy.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Stiefvater leaves the faeries of Lament and Ballad for a lyrical tale of alienated werewolves and first love. For years, Grace has been fascinated by the yellow-eyed wolf that saved her from its pack when she was a child. Sam, bitten by a wolf as a boy, is that wolf. Long obsessed with each other at a distance, they finally meet after a wolf hunt (inspired by the apparent death of a local teen) sends a wounded and temporarily human Sam into Grace's arms. Their young love is facilitated by Grace's hands-off parents ("Once upon a time, I would've leaped at the rare opportunity of curling up with Mom on the couch. But now, it sort of felt like too little, too late," Grace muses), but threatened by two linked crises: the fact that Sam will soon lose the ability to become human and the instability of a new lycanthrope. Stiefvater skillfully increases the tension throughout; her take on werewolves is interesting and original while her characters are refreshingly willing to use their brains to deal with the challenges they face. Ages 13 up.

Great book!
This was overall a great book, the only problem is in the description of the book it never mentions love. I was hoping the book would be a bit more exciting though. This is a great book though, if your into this type of stuff!
3.5/5 stars!
I read a lot of fanfictions stories from wattpad about werewolves
I have to say the writing was beautiful, like a poetry something like that? This book did not make me cry. I like this book but i dont really enjoy or love it as much as i want.
The calm and quiet atmosphere in this book kinda meh for me, maybe because of the writing. I dont like the first 100 pages of this book, mainly because of the main character.
I am not sure if i should recommend this but please do check it out if you like werewolves and dont expect a lot of actions, its not.
Great book
I struggles the first few pages to get into it but once I got to chapter three I was hooked! I can't wait to go home to download the next one!!!
