Charles Beaumont was an American author and screenwriter. Besides publishing a considerable number of short stories, Beaumont is best known for his work on movies and television shows, especially the The Twilight Zone, in which some of his short stories were adapted into episodes, often by himself.

Most of his work is still under copyright; the few short stories believed to be in the U.S. public domain are collected in this Standard Ebooks edition.
