Publisher Description
Spriths are fun loving, harmless creatures. Smudges are not.
Spriths make a home cozy and friendly. Smudges make everything worse.
George, who owns the house where the two disparate beings dwell, catches a glimpse of Dawn the Sprith one summer’s day, consequently disrupting the balance of sprith and smudge. A hurricane is coming. To the glee of the smudges, the day grows dark and shadows deepen as George closes the house against the ferocity of wind and rain. Dawn must come forward and persuade George not to close the last shutter, not to extinguish the spriths, and to save himself while he clings to a ladder as the storm comes rushing on.
