When Ellis Earnshaw and Heathan James met as children, they couldn’t have been more different. Ellis was loud and beautiful – all blond hair, bright laughs and smiles. Heathan was dark and brooding, and obsessed with watching things die.
The pair forged an unlikely friendship, unique and strange. Until they were ripped apart by the sick cruelty of others, separated for years, both locked in a perpetual hell.
Eleven years later, Heathan is back for his girl. Back from a place from which he thought there was no return. Back to seek revenge on those who wronged them.
Time has made Heathan’s soul darker, polluted with hatred and the thirst for blood.
Time has made Ellis a shell of her former self, a little girl lost in the vastness of her pain.
As Heathan pulls Ellis out of her mental prison, reviving the essence of who she once was, down the rabbit hole they will go.
With malice in their hearts and vengeance in their veins, they will seek out the ones who hurt and destroyed them.

One hell of a ride!
Absolutely LOVED this book. The characters and the world around them draw you in. I can’t even find the words to adequately describe this greatness of this story. Definitely a favorite.
I love smut/dark romance books but...
I’m a huge fan of Tillie Cole, truly. However, this book was a bit too much— even for me. It took me a long time to finish this book just because I was so turned off by what the characters were doing (sexually). The Alice and Wonderland theme got old, quickly. I would not recommend this book.
Kept me on my toes!
Apparently I’m a couple of years late on this one, but better late than never. This story was one of the darkest books I have read. It deals with child abuse, molestation, lots of blood and gore. This is about Ellis and Heathen. It’s a messed up journey from childhood through adulthood. It’s twisted and unpredictable. It will have you questioning your morals.
The story flowed easily and honestly I didn’t need a break reading it, but some might. As a reader I love finding the beauty in a dark story and this one did not disappoint. So when a friend recommended it to me I bought it right away. The characters were the most developed I ever read to date. You didn’t feel like you were missing anything, and maybe wished you didn’t know as much about them. Like I said this book will mess you up. The events in the book are extremely graphic, but for me it helped you get in the mindset of these characters. So be cautious when you pick this book to read.
