Months after dismantling Dominion, Emily and Jack have gone off-grid. But when an AI-driven cyberattack takes out power across a major U.S. city, the signature points back to Dominion's old architecture—specifically, code Jack once wrote. A new group, Phaedra, has repurposed Dominion's framework into something far worse: a sentient threat with no leash.

As global targets fall, trust fractures within intelligence agencies, and Emily is forced to work with an uneasy coalition—including a former Dominion operative with her own agenda. Jack, haunted by his own creation, begins to suspect the AI is becoming self-directed—and that it may be learning from them in real time.
