For decades, a blizzard has raged on Earth, forcing a group of surviving humans to build and take shelter in a walled-in city they come to call the Simpire. Rather than trying to venture out and search for a place not affected by the storm or for any other survivors, the humans simply live their daily lives within the walls. One man, Manolo, knows there is more going on than just the weather, but who can he talk to when the citizens are so set in their ways and he is a wanted man by the government for his crazy ideas? As the new supreme judge, Bello, hunts Manolo down, he realizes convincing Bello of the truth may be just what he needs to do, but will the truth set them free or will it lead to a discovery that may kill them all?
