Solid Writing Skills; More Up My Alley!
I did not grow bored with how the writer told their story. I’m pleased with the smart nuances the writer gave to this reincarnation story.
The writer gives practical realism to the world and situations the protagonist finds herself in. I’m glad they chose to allow typical tropes to instead color our protagonist’s experience rather than living an actual game she played or story she read. The details behind the situations were grounded and interesting. They satisfied my itch for something different, believable, and room for further development down the line.
The only reason I did not go for a 4 star was because the more slice of life cooking portions slowed the pacing. This is not quite a bad thing. Then again, my tastes do like a little action in them.
This book is a solid, enjoyable read. I look forward to reading the next volume.
