Filtered through his perceptions, Saylor comes off as a passive enigma much of the time, more of a plot device than a full-fledged partner. When Dirk says, "Nobody could be as perfect as she seemed to be and still want something to do with an imperfection like myself," the reader is forced to agree. The looming sense of inevitable tragedy undermines the strength of the core romance and leads to an unsatisfying ending.

What the???
I'm really getting into the book and find it every interesting, but several pages in the 100s are starting mid sentence. There are gaps in the story line because of this! I don't know if it's a bug or if it's a error from someone entering the story or however it goes. I just know it needs to get fixed or other people may not be to happy either.
Wish I could get a refund
This book moves at a snails pace. Way too much internal dialogue. I have no idea why some authors write with that style because it’s boring and redundant. It got to where I was just looking for the “ to know something was going to happen. I read about 40% before I decided that I shouldn’t have to work so hard for what should be pleasure. It didn’t help that I read Nine Minutes a few months ago and have been searching desperately for another MC book that could even come close to that book.
What a huge disappointment this book was.

I was provided a copy of Sinner’s Creed in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley; but had I know what the book was about I would have never read it.
First off Dirk is a dick with not a redeeming quality to him. Why Saylor is so enamored with him, is beyond me. Plus, it’s never really explained. Yet she is over the moon infatuated with a cold blooded psycho killer. Dirk isn’t much better. The story is told from Dirk's POV and he is obsessed with Saylor because of her innocence and beauty. The story rambles on and on and frankly for the most part I was bored and just trying to get through it.
Then came the big revelation. SPOILERS from this point forward be warned!!!
Saylor has cancer and the story goes into graphic detail of what going through chemo and those awful side effect entail. I will admit I cried at this and the end of the book. Not for love of the characters suffering but because it drudged up HORRIBLE memories of taking care of my mother. Thanks for that!
I honestly should have stopped when I couldn’t get into the book. I don’t know why I didn’t. I kept thinking, “This has to get better, right?” It didn’t. This story does not have a HEA. It’s heartbreaking and if you have ever lost anybody to cancer and had to help with their illness, be prepared to relive those memories in detail....Sara
