Publisher Description

What’s more dangerous—a killer attraction that breaks all the rules, or the true killer who’s closing in?

Security consultant Ronan Thorne might be sex on a stick, but that doesn’t mean I should want him. After all, I’m Brandy Bradshaw, the Girl With the Worst Luck With Men. As for that one kiss we shared? That was nothing but a drunken mistake between friends. I know perfectly well that Ronan’s not a relationship guy. He’s got dark edges and dangerous secrets and so many scars.

But when I find my landlord dead in my living room, shot with a single bullet to the head, Ronan’s the man I cling to. I feel safe in his arms, and he has the skills to figure out what’s happening.

Except what he learns is that a case of mistaken identity has made me the next target.

Now we’re on the run together, but I’m not prepared for the heat that flares between us, or the tantalizing things he does to my body when we give in to temptation. He soothes my fear by showing me a different type of danger, sensuous and wild. It’s miraculous and wonderful, but terrifying, too. Because as soon as we catch the killer, I’m afraid Ronan will leave. And when he does, I know my heart will shatter.

From the New York Times bestselling author who brought you Damien Stark comes a sexy and suspenseful romance between a woman in jeopardy and the reluctant hero determined to save the girl but not lose his heart.

Loved it!

I really loved Ronan and Brandy! Brandy was much stronger than she gave herself credit for. You could tell how Ronan cared for her, even though he tried to deny to himself how deep his feelings were. The situation that they found themselves in was not the usual drama. It was a unique situation and coincided with Ronan’s past. Their story was well worth waiting for!

Romance & Murder

Sinner’s Game was the perfect blend of slow burn romance mixed with a twisty murder mystery. I like books with some jeopardy & heat and this one had plenty of both. It took some exciting & unexpected turns for Ronan & Brandy to finally reach their happily ever after.

Another excellent example of the J Kenner novel

J Kenner always writes a good book. Despite being behind on her work at present I was able to pick up this story pretty easily as a stand-alone book, but having read Devlin and Ellie’s story would have filled in some gaps and increased the connection to this world she has built. I’m definitely motivated to catch up having had a taste of this storyline. As usual her heroes are flawed, alpha males and her heroines are equally flawed, yet strong women who become even stronger and more confident with their hero’s support. There seems to be almost always some trauma or terrible hurt in their pasts which explains the flaws. This is a romantic suspense story, which allows the alpha hero to be alpha and which keeps the reader glued to the book. All in all it was a really good read, and I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy this genre. I am voluntarily submitting this review after reading an advanced complementary copy.
