Publisher Description
A hard-as-nails cop with a secret bloodline.
A warrior angel hell-bent on justice.
A world that will pay for the sins of the angels.
Homicide detective Alexandra Jarvis is up against a vicious serial killer unlike any she's ever known. With the murders stirring up memories of her father's brutal death, Alex has neither time nor patience for the irritating new partner abruptly assigned to her. Especially when he has wings that only she can see.
Aramael knows the serial killer well. He and the fallen angel have been brothers since the dawn of time–and Aramael has hunted him before. Now, sent to Earth to re-capture him, Aramael has to play second to a human detective whose soul is impossibly bound to his — and whose very lineage threatens his mission.
But the fallen one is coming for Alex. If Aramael can't stop him, it could trigger the apocalypse itself. And there are those who eagerly await its coming…

Awesome read!
Not a dull moment. I couldn’t put the book down. So many twists and turns. Fell in love with the characters as well. This book is well written with plot twists and enduring lead characters. I am not one for too gruesome detections, but in this case understood the need to express the unfathomable. Recommend this read for anyone into fantasy. I am going to read again!
Wow
I freakin loves this book! So many interwoven details I had to join the mailing list to get the second book! However, if you are not willing to open your mind to different approaches of storytelling of God; and strictly adhere to the ‘God is a Man’ trope then I’m afraid this book is not for you. It’s been very interesting reading the musings between angels and archangels and the One. I’ve had some of the same misgivings about an omnipotent being.
Angels who don’t respect God
The book is full of nasty language. Main character of the book is Nephilim and falls in love with an angel. At one point she decided God (a female who is getting too old and is referred to as "The One") is at fault for allowing evil on the earth. God is referred to as 'she' throughout the book.
