Life
I loved every bit of this book.
Surface level
I wanted to like this book, but it ended up being a frustrating read. It took me about a week to finish, and throughout the entire time I kept waiting for it to go deeper—but it never really did.
Christine shares her experiences, but only at a surface level. There are moments where you can tell there’s a much more complex and emotional story underneath, but instead of exploring it, she skims over it and moves on. It ends up feeling more like a summary of events than a meaningful reflection on them.
For a memoir, I was expecting more honesty, depth, and insight—something that would help me understand her perspective on a deeper level. Instead, it felt incomplete and a bit rushed.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t live up to what I was hoping for. Two stars.
What A Life
Those Mormon underwear. I'm happy Christine has found happiness, or at least it seems so. I've watched every season but 19. That was a sad season. I met Janelle at Whole Foods in Summerlin. Can you tell her to write one too.
