When Abby's father marries Heather, she and her six-year-old daughter, Claire come to live with them. Though a teenager, Abby gets on well with little kids, and believes she her new sister will become instant friends. Claire has other ideas.

Gradually Abby discovers her sister has plans beyond anything her parents could ever imagine, and she is plunged into a deadly battle of wits.
