Six Weeks on Horseback Through Yellowstone Park

Published in 1913, this book gives a first-person account of one woman's six-week expedition through the Yellowstone National Park and surrounding territory. Author L. Louise Elliott and her husband joined the Rocky Mountain Camping Party for a trek through the park, and she kept a diary throughout her journey. At the conclusion of the trip, Elliott turned her experiences into this vivid account of backcountry travel in the early 20th century.
