When a man has everything he could possibly want, from a beautiful family to a luxurious lifestyle, and still isn’t satisfied with what God has given him, he’s often lead astray by the darkness of his heart straight into the arms of another; does he ever learn from his mistake or is he forever doomed to repeat it?

The answer to this Sisyphean quandary is presented in the trials and tribulations of a modern marriage, painting a picture not of love, but of antipathy, which is a necessary component for love to grow in the first place. And so, much like the sharp thorns surrounding the blooming bud of a rose, beauty can often define perspective, but it can also blind the eye of the beholder, especially if one turns his admiration into a sick obsession.
