Customer Reviews
Good but a poor quality story
Extremely well written yet the main character is difficult to relate to and nothing is really indicating an actual children’s crusade. I was hoping that this novel would be so much more about being anti war but it almost glorifies it. The bombing of Dresden is truly horrible yet the way it’s described and the views of various characters makes that bombing almost boring. I really wish that Kurt would’ve written more about the devastation of Dresden in more detail and made the protagonist much more relatable or likable. In addition the whole side story of the alien abduction is almost entirely useless. Overall, not a good story but it is very well written.
Don’t Understand
This book made no sense to me? Why is it so famous?
