Edward Fasbender is my captor.
Trapped on this island he owns everything on--including, it seems, me.
He told me he would break me, but I thought he meant in the bedroom. It turns out Edward is playing a completely different game.
And he won't stop until he's ruined me.

Omg I could not wait to get ruin in my hands and it did not disappoint!!! So so so good. Even when I want to me mad and hate Edward. I just can’t!!! I love him!!! At one point I couldn’t believe what he was doing and I wanted to scream but in the end he was only doing what Celia needed and what was best for her. They try to fight their love for each other but it is too strong and too real to be anything but nourished and given into. Edward wants all of Celia. The good the bad the honest ugly truth but is Celia able and ready to give it all to him? Will it destroy her? Will he? Or will she find a healing beyond her own understanding? Can she hold out longer? I can’t wait till the next book. To dive more into their story. Book given to me by author!!!
I’m Ruined in the Best Possible Way
Laurelin Paige is a QUEEN. I went into Slay: Ruin with high expectations, and she blew them right out of the water. I haven’t recovered from this read, but it just reinforces why this woman is one of my all-time favorite authors.
If you haven’t read Slay: Rivalry, make sure you do that first. Slay: Ruin brings readers right back into the thick of things with Celia and Edward, and I couldn’t turn the digital pages fast enough. Both of these characters are strong and have more going on beneath the surface, and a battle of wills ensues between them. I was riveted by Edward’s determination to break Celia down on all fronts and uncover her secrets. Celia can’t help but respond to him—I don’t blame her because the man is sexy, anti-hero goodness—but she’s also determined to hold onto said secrets. I practically choked on the sexual tension between this couple, and I promise it delivers.
This was such a satisfying read. I’m thoroughly invested in Celia and Edward’s story, and I’m excited to see how the plot—and the characters—continue to unravel. Bring on the next, please!
Another intense, gripping and gritty story. I was totally hooked from the beginning. The story continued to pull me in and keep me on the edge of my seat as it continues to keep me on emotional journey. As their story unravels the more and more you start loving the characters and understand them. Can’t wait for more.
