What a great book...
I so enjoyed this book about a small town where everyone knows yours business. Delaney Kate has enjoyed living in Spring Grove with her MawMaw, her family, and good friends. Delaney knows she is different from everyone because of her once weight problems and her love of working several jobs. This story is so cute and sweet and unique from the others books Toni has written.
Reed is a McElroy whose family just about owns everything in the town. He can’t stand stand living in this small town of Spring Grove, or so he thinks. Then his Father passes away, and Reed has to come back home for the funeral and for his Mom and family. Reed is very upset about having to come back, because he thinks no one in this town likes or care for him. His father stipulates he has to stay 6 months before receive his inheritance. This book left me laughing at the antics that Reed and Delaney Kate got to while becoming close to each other. I think the favorite person in the book was Mawmaw. I can’t wait until the next book of this small town quirky family.
Welcome back to Spring Grove
Welcome back to Spring Grove. Except Reed doesn’t really want to be back. He left Spring Grove feeling he didn’t belong and never looked back. But years later he’s returning as a successful veterinarian, for his fathers funeral. Cue some regret and unwanted emotions. He can’t wait to leave! But he’s going to be sticking around for a little while.
