Smallworld: A Science Fiction Adventure Comedy
Publisher Description
"A showcase for Green's bone-dry satire and deadpan humour ... Green's agile imagination constantly wrong-foots the reader. A delight."
-Peter Ingham, The Telegraph
"The work of a talented writer having lots of very smart fun"
-- S F Winser, Booksquawk.com
Smallworld is like nothing you've read before... innovative speculative fiction from Hugo-listed Brit SF writer Dominic Green.
Mount Ararat, a world the size of an asteroid yet with Earth-standard gravity, plays host to an oddball farming community whose children are protected by the Devil, a mechanical killing machine.
But who placed the robot there, and who - or what - is really in need of protection?

Great!
I'm not sure I even know where to begin. This is a long book separated into something liken to episodes. It is very interesting and I absolutely loved every second of it. Anyone who likes science fiction and imagining life on another planet will love this. Simultaneously funny and dramatic with a fun and interesting storyline.
Fun
I was happily surprised by this book. Loved the humor and really enjoyed the plot, beginning to end. I got a little lost when time lapsed between some of the events ( how much time had passed for example) and I think the author expected me to connect the dots in a couple of places( a bit of a struggle for me, but I can be slow) but this is still hands down one of my favorites. It was really just a fun read for me-the best kind of book. Wish it were longer! (Btw, if you're looking for gooey romantic fiction this is not it, but that's not to say it completely lacks romance.)
Small world
There is no plot. If you thought this to be funny you are funny!
