Smelly Bob

Robert Black, also known as “Smelly Bob” was a Scottish pedophile and serial killer who preyed on young girls in the United Kingdom. Between 1981 and 1986, Black was convicted of the kidnap, sexual assault, and murder of four girls—plus the kidnapping and rape of another young girl and the attempted kidnapping of yet another—between the ages of five and 11 and was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 35 years. Black is also suspected of being responsible for the murders of 12 other girls between 1969 and 1987 in England, Ireland, and continental Europe. Black died of natural causes on 12 January 2016 while incarcerated at HMP Maghaberry, just weeks before he was to be charged with the murder of another of his victims.
