He should’ve never walked away from her. It only took a good knock to his head to make him see clearly. He’s going to win Chasity’s heart once again. It doesn’t matter that she’s not going to make it easy; he’s up for the challenge. Bring on the bets and all the Christmas spirit he can handle. “She was beautiful. Like an angel sent from heaven.”
Amanda Siegrist blesses us with a heartwarming Christmas book every year and this time our couple hopes that Christmas magic will bring them back together. Stu needs a Christmas miracle to win back Chastity’s heart and perhaps wishing on a Christmas star would be the answer to his prayers. Stu and Chastity had a sweet, summer romance that ended badly. He never wanted to break up with her but he found it necessary to shield her from the wrath of his father, who thought she wasn’t good enough for him. Chastity guarded her heart after their breakup and concentrated on her job and her family. It was hard to ignore Stu because he owned the only bar in town but she hadn’t spent much time there since it was too painful to see him. To Stu, no other woman had ever measured up to Chastity because she was smart, funny and so beautiful that it made his heart beat faster. He also realized that he had to work hard to gain back her trust. Chastity still had feelings for Stu, and even though it had been a long time, their breakup was still fresh in her mind. Why did she have to be on call the night the fight broke out at the bar? She had done such a good job avoiding Stu and now she had to tend to his wounds and be professional about it. Just being near him gave her ideas, but Chastity wasn’t sure she could ever trust him again. She hoped by now he had matured enough to open his heart and be honest with her. Stu wanted Chastity back and he needed to reach deep inside himself to find the perfect way to convince her that the only gift he wanted for Christmas was her.
