What a ride!
I grew up watching movies based on Edna Ferber’s books. Alllll these years later, I am finally reading one. So Big moved me—Selina had such a pure and mature appreciation for what is really important in life. Mrs. Pool took such pride in caring for her family. Dirk offers many lessons to learn. I will say, the ending stunned me. But I am on to the next book by Ms. Ferber. Enjoy!
