Deception. Discovery. Abiding Devotion. An intriguing twist on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice
Kidnapped as a child. Reared as a noble. Elizabeth returns to Longbourn after discovering the truth of her past. Wanting to reclaim her rightful place in the lives of her Bennet relations, she needs time before considering a life far away in Derbyshire with Mr. Darcy, who promises to wait for her for so long as it takes. With so much distance between the two of them, the question soon becomes how long is too long. When at last Darcy and Elizabeth reunite in Hertfordshire, allegations and misunderstandings threaten to tear them apart. The question now is how much is too much.
P.O. Dixon has done it again! Lady Elizabeth and So Far Away were hard to put down, and I found myself wanting to read all throughout the day! It was a treat to follow the characters we love, as well as some new ones, find their ways along new, twisting paths. Darcy is always most honorable, Elizabeth is always passionate, and the remaining characters are consistent, as we now them, in their attitudes. My only regret is having completed reading this series because now patience is required for the next P.O. Dixon story. In full disclosure, I was given the opportunity to read this series for free in exchange for an honest review, and I appreciate the hours of diversion! How engaging they have been!
