Soaring Above The Clouds is a unique autobiography, carefully and prayerfully written over the course of 15 years, and will appeal to many readers. The content of this book is real and relevant to young and old, both locally and internationally who have suffered emotionally and physically at the hands of those who saw them as being different. It's an inspiration and encouragement for all born with, or having acquired a physical disability due to a life-changing event. The author's journey in the book is paralleled by an analogy of the life stages of the majestic African Fish Eagle, having grown up in the African bush. This personal chronicle will inspire men and women from all walks of life and all ages.
The Author, Deborah-May (Debbie) Coetzee was born in 1974 in Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe). From the time of her birth doctors where aware that there was something wrong with Debbie. Debbie was eighteen months old when doctors eventually concluded and informed her parents that she had severe Cerebral Palsy. Doctors went on to tell her parents that Debbie would never walk, talk or be able to do anything for herself. By great determination, perseverance and faith Debbie started walking at age ten. She finished her schooling years well and even obtained two diplomas. Her determination and faith has taken her on a journey of mountain highs and valley lows and has brought her to a place in her life where she now lives and works independently.
