Socio-Constructivist Learning E-Portfolios

A Review of the Related Literature

Publisher Description

The purpose of my literature review is to identify background information and resources on using electronic portfolios (e-portfolios) to document learning at Windsor House, a publicly funded K-12 school founded on a socio-constructivist pedagogical model. Self-regulated and experiential learning are strongly emphasized at Windsor House, and students have flexibility around what, how, and when they will learn. Participation in the Windsor House (WH) learning model requires students and families to document their own learning, and the e-portfolio has been identified as a powerful tool that could possibly meet the diverse requirements of students, parents, teachers, and the British Columbia Ministry of Education.
