Publisher Description
Charlee Burke is stuck on a deserted country road as a winter snowstorm sweeps in. The closest person to call is the all-too-sexy-for-his-own-good Ace McBride. When Charlee’s name pops up on his phone, Ace is pleased, but surprised. As much as he teases her, and as mad as she gets at him, he figures she’s got to be pretty desperate.
Charlee’s been afraid of relationships since a man ran a con on her to get to her inheritance. She doesn’t believe she’ll ever trust her instincts after that terrible experience. With the storm coming in faster and harder, Charlee’s cabin is the closest shelter. She’s not sure she can survive being trapped in such close quarters with Ace for that long. Alone.
Ace is determined to win her heart. Charlee is determined to never go down that path again.

The final book in the Riding Tall 2 series
This is the fifth and final book in the Riding Tall 2 series. Ace, the last McBride brother not coupled up and Charlee who we learned from a previous book was totally taken in by a scummy con artist. She has plenty of internal scars.
Charlee is single and doesn’t want to spent Christmas as a fifth wheel so she lies and tells her family and friends she will be with the other. On her way to her cabin she gets a flat tire just as it starts to snow. Without dragging someone away from their family and finding out her lie she calls Ace, the last single McBride and her best friends brother.
The snow is really falling so Ace picks up Charlee and they go to her cabin. The two end up spending a couple of days snowed in together with plenty of food, games and DVDs. We learn that Ace has always had a thing for Charlee. We understand Charlee is still very gun shy. David did a real number on her. Ace we learn doesn’t want children. Convinced he is the least productive of his four perfect brothers and one sister. Charlee would like the whole package of a family.
I admit I had to reread the last couple of chapters because the book made me mad. Basically Ace is a boneheaded. I just wanted Ace to talk to some members of his family. I will let you decide how you think the end of the story went.
