Publisher Description

"Angel is a badass. This is a wild ride."
-Natalie Eva Marie, WWE Superstar Athlete and Actress

A heroic novel that subverts the conventions of traditional Westerns by diving headfirst into the deviance and violence of the Mexican Revolution with one woman’s struggle to find freedom and protect the ones she loves.

Soldadera is based on real-life rebel soldier Angela “Angel” Jimenez, who fought alongside men during the Mexican Revolution in 1911. The story traces her fight along the Texas-Mexico border as she attempts to save a retired American colonel and his young granddaughter from ruthless Mexican federale soldiers.

Best Historical Fiction Western

“Soldadera” dives into the rich and often overlooked history of soldaderas, the brave women who played a vital role in the Mexican Revolution. Through the eyes of the protagonist, readers are transported to the tumultuous era of the early 20th century, where they witness the struggles, sacrifices, and resilience of these remarkable women.

Soldadera offers a compelling blend of adventure, emotion, and cultural insight. It is my belief that this story will resonate with readers who appreciate immersive historical fiction and narratives that celebrate the strength and resilience of women.

Gripping and deep!!

The descriptions and depth of characters and their struggles made this book hard to put down. It’s way more than a western. It’s a deep dive into the hard life of the Wild West and how women were treated. Overall, it’s an exciting ride and has a lot of heart.
