I love this series!!
ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Something Amazing is a spinoff with the characters Rachel and Jaxs. Rachel is fresh from a breakup of a long term boyfriend that wasn't going anywhere when her and her best friend Stacey take an impromptu vacation to Kauai. There they will meet the Clark brothers. I actually felt Henricks and Stacey had better chemistry than the main characters of the book. In the first half of the book I had a hard time seeing a true connection with Rachel and Jax. Jax kept giving mixed signals. One minute he was acting like their time together was a fling and the next he was saying things as if they were soul mates. There was a lot of mix ups between the two until Rachel finds out Jaxs secret. Finally towards the second half of the book their connection starts to shine through and I was able to enjoy the rest of the book.
Overall this was a good read. I just wish the first half of the book meshed better. I haven't read any of their others in the series but I will. I liked the other characters enough to give them a try.
I love this spin-off of the Something Great series. It is a stand alone novel but you will want to read the series when you're done. I love M. Clarke's books because they instill the message to women to not settle and that they deserve that someone special someone.
Rachel is distraught because she has broken up with her boyfriend and not sure if she has done the right thing. Her sister Becky assures her she'll be fine and to go enjoy her vacation and meet some hot surfers.
Mary Ting/M. Clarke's books draws you in and absorbs you into the story. You can't wait to see what happens next but yet you don't want the story to end. You can't help caring about the characters and find yourself feeling all of the emotions that they're going through. Kudos to Mary for another "Amazing" read and I look forward to what comes next.
