Finding my teammate in bed with my wife made the decision I had been fighting with for years easier.
It's time to move on.
A fresh start and a new NHL team in a big city. Most importantly, it's my son Jack's best shot.
It would be both of our best shots.
After a bad childhood, I made sure I would succeed.
The problem is I die a little with each patient I lose. It's part of my career at Hudson Children's Oncology Hospital, but it doesn't make the sting of loss any easier.
Seeking anything other than a life saved isn't on my agenda until a NHL player walks into my hospital with his son.
We're officially off script the moment we meet.
If this love is anything, it's unscripted.

Can’t stop reading this series.
It’s always a really hard storyline when you are dealing with a character that is sick with cancer let alone a child. So if that is something that you can’t deal with this books may be something you may want to avoid that being said it’s a beautiful book full of my favorite characters from this series along with some great new characters like Zach and jack Marrow. Zach just walked in on his wife and his best friend and fellow team mate in bed together and it’s the final straw for a marriage that had long ago died. Zach makes the decision to take his son Jack with him to New York so they can get the help of Dr. Denise Horton because Jack is very sick. Denise immediately falls in love with the 5 year old and then falls in love with Zach. The 3 face some difficult battles but in the end there is an amazing HEA for all of them.
A must read!
Natasha Madison is one of my favorite authors, and this book didn’t disappoint!
Denise and Zach are perfect for each other. They are a bit opposite in some ways, but the same in others. I love how much Zach’s love for his son shines, and he is always there for him. My heart breaks for Denise and the challenges she faces at work, and I know I would never be strong enough to handle my emotions if I had to deal with it day in and out.
A fantastic must read I would definitely recommend!!
Something So Unscripted is an emotional second chance at love for single dad, Zack Morrow. Life and love cannot be scripted. Zack knows this better than anyone as he tries to be at the top of his game as an NHL player and get his son Jack the best treatment from the best hospitals and doctors around.
“You have a light in you that shines so brightly it can’t be dimmed.”
I loved Denise. She came from a very difficult childhood, she is so caring and intelligent and makes an amazing children’s doctor. She is just what Zack and Jack need in their lives. It couldn’t be scripted better!
