Chapter 3:
Sonics Pov.
I looked at the clock.
8:30
Time to get ready for the formal!
I rushed to the bathroom, and styled my quills during some conditioner no way was I taking a shower! ( water… *shudder*)
I put on my new blue suit, and tie, and started on some cologne .
I grabbed a red rose, and hurried to the dance.
When I arrived, I was already bewildered by the glowing lights.
The dining room was dine out light by glowing lanterns, and smooth music was playing.
The chairs and tables, were replaced by a wooden dancing floor, and small tables with silverware, and gold balloons, and confetti.
People were dancing to the soft music, and nibbling on snacks while sitting at the tables. I rushed over to knuckles, tails, sliver, and espio who were by the buffet.
“Hey guys!, you seen Katie around anywhere?” I asked.
“Sorry sonic, she’s not around here” Kunckles muttered with a mouthful of grapes.
Blaze, violet, jade, rouge, ruby, whiteout, and Maisy entered the room. The guys rushed over to there dates, but I didn’t see Katie anywhere, then she entered the room.
She had on a pink sparkly dress, with blue cuffed sleeves, and black tights, she had on green shoes, her hair was down , and wavy, and she had an aquamarine flower in her hair.
“Hi sonic!” She said rushing over to me.
“Uh— hey Katie .“
“Do you wanna dance with me?” She asked
“Ok” I muttered.
We went over to the dance floor, and swayed to the soft music.
I knew that nothing could ruin this perfect night.

Amy’s pov.
I glanced at my watch.
It was time to get ready for the dance.
I took a quick shower.
Blow-dried my hair, the curled it, and sorted it with pink rose hair perfume , I put on some make up, then choose my outfit for the formal. I choose a Magenta dress without sleeves, and pink high heels, I put on some beaded bracelets, and put a pink Rose in my hair. I grabbed my things, and headed towards the door.
Suddenly, I heard a giant humming sound .
It was the locket.
I couldn’t resist.
I grabbed the locket and slung it around my neck, then left for the dance.

When I arrived I noticed Lena by a table in the corner by tangle and whisper.
I walked over, and said hello.
“Wow, you look amazing Amy !“ she exclaimed .
“Thanks ,you to.” I said admiring her green suit.
“So, you er— wanna dance?” She asked hopefully.
“Of course” I said cheerfully.
We headed to the dance floor, and danced slowly to the love ballad from ShockZ playing .
It was going great, until the locket started to buzz.
I felt dizzy, and the room started to blur.
Suddenly, the locket burst into light, and I saw flashes of memory’s .
Someone screamed , someone was crying, a gem was lying in pieces on a stone floor,
More shouts, red light, crazed laughing, and then Moubius covered in ashes, and grief .
I woke up suddenly, and collapsed into a pile of chairs.
The music stopped, and people crowed around me looking worried, my locket who’s lying on the floor still buzzing.
“Amy, oh my god, are you ok?”
Lena shrieked .
“I’m fine” I muttered trying not to hurl.
“I’ll get you some water” said violet hurrying over to the buffet.
“Thanks” I groaned .
Lena looked upset, sonic, tails, knuckles, Katie, ruby, kit, angel, and whiteout looked worried.
Jade, rouge, equinox, and shadow looked shocked.
Spots, and Jason looked nervous.
Maisy was holding her hands over her mouth in fright, and Jerry looked normal, but still a bit anxious.
I sighed.
How did this happen?
