The Locket, Part 5

Narrator’s note:
It has been a month since the “dance disaster” occurred. In that time, Amy has been acting stranger and stranger, Katie has disappeared, whom Shadow and Whisper are investigating, and Silver and Sonic found out Eggman has yet another super secret plan behind their backs, and they are breaching an eggbase to find out what it is.

Sonic’s POV:

Silver and I stormed through the eggbase and headed straight to the computer room. I entered the password, which is usually “I h@t3 th4t h3dg3h0g”. That was when we found out the horrifying plan. Eggman was using a Phantom Ruby prototype to bring back Infinite.
“I thought they were all gone”, Silver said.
“Did you really think he’d let you know that?” a voice said. We whirled around. It was Infinite.

Meanwhile… Whisper’s POV:

Tangle begged to come with us on our mission. I would have said yes, but she’s not exactly the stealthy type. Besides, we already knew where to start. Shadow was the first one to notice Amy wouldn’t talk to anyone. Not even Lena! I thought it was because of embarrassment from the “dance disaster”, but Shadow thought otherwise.
“It has been nearly a month!” He told me. So we would sneak into her place and find out what secrets she had. Jade and Spots were in on the plan. They would distract Amy so we could sneak in. The plan worked and once we were inside, we found the most surprising thing. It was the locket!

Eggman’s POV:

I see they have discovered Infinite in Eggbase 425.
No matter. In fact it all worked out for me. While the heroes were distracted, I sent Metal Sonic in to breach the place and capture Tails. My plan worked perfectly…
