SPARTAN CODE

Four tanks. One platoon. One code. Before Baghdad falls, Red Platoon must learn what men carry when the map fails.

In March 2003, four M1A1 Abrams crews cross from Kuwait into Iraq with a tank named Bertha Mae and a mission that will push them through dust, mud, broken radios, bad maps, and sudden violence. At the center are a young driver and SSG Derrick Slaughter-the tank commander, mentor, and brother whose standard holds the crew together when orders and certainty begin to fracture.

Rooted in Frank Castle's firsthand experience with the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division during the drive to Baghdad, SPARTAN CODE: RED blends the immediacy of armored combat with dark soldier humor and the emotional weight of memory. This is not a story of clean victories. It is a novel about brotherhood under pressure, leadership when seconds matter, moral injury, survival, and the private promises soldiers carry long after the shooting stops.

For readers of authentic military fiction, modern war novels, veteran-centered stories, and book-club fiction about loyalty, grief, faith, and resilience.
