Customer Reviews
Very poor iBook format
This book’s content would be great if the transfer to an iBook was done with greater skill. The problems with this book include:
1. Table of contents missing / non-functional. To get to the last page of the book, you need to manually advance more than 300 pages. That’s 300 mouse clicks.
2. IBooks won’t remember your place in this book. So, you either need to read through it in one pass, or manually advance to your place each time you open the book.
3. Pages are simply scanned JPGs, not actual textual content. This cause numerous problems, including poor scaling, and inability to extract textual content.
4. All audio examples are grouped into one of 4 large multi-hour tracks. So, if you want to find the audio for a certain section of the book, you have to scan through the audio to find it.
The author, publisher, and Apple should be ashamed releasing this book.
