In celebration of an icon, Chip Zdarsky and legendary artist Mark Bagley spin a unique Spidey tale - telling the entire life story of Spider-Man from beginning to end, set against the key events of the decades through which he lived! From the Vietnam War to Secret Wars and Civil War, all the way through to what just might be a 72-year-old Spider-Man's final mission, prepare to watch Peter Parker age by the issue - now in hardcover, including a brand new Annual tale!\\

Life Story - Solid Self-Contained Spider-Man Graphic Novel for Newbies and Diehards Alike!
I’m a little bit biased on one thing here; Mark Bagley can do no wrong. Especially when Spider-Man (any Spider-Man) or Venom are concerned.
Otherwise the premise to this is nifty and unique. Spider-Man is the same dude with only a small amount of in-world time passing throughout his sixty years of publication. In this, Peter Parker ages with the decades as we do. He’s not the altruistic good guy we know him as. He’s hot-headed, self-centered, and kind of an all-around flawed (and real) character. As out there as Marvel’s worlds are, Spider-Man is finally relatable here.
You’ve got a lot of excellent writing, solid drama and things that really make you think and feel things in response. It’s not your average mainstream Marvel soap opera at all.
One thing I will say; there are two versions of this book being sold on the Apple Books Store. One (the one I’m writing this review for) has the Annual #1 issue at the end. The other one (costing a couple dollars less) does not. THAT ANNUAL #1 ISSUE IS CRUCIAL! DO NOT GET THE VERSION OF THIS THAT DOESN’T HAVE IT! WELL WORTH THE EXTRA COST!
This is honestly a fantastic read. Do yourself a favor and pick it up!
