Ralph Lalond is awesome!!
I love this series so much!! When I read Broadcast 0 I was hooked! Can't wait to read the rest. This is a series that is a must read get it now! For the love of Freeground!!
I still can't quite get past the sometimes awkward style of writing, but I must say it would make an excellent screenplay. The complicated nature of the parallel plots and long, run-on paragraphs with no character identifiers makes is easy to get lost in such a long series. However, the visual imagery of a movie would give the stories immediate clarity. The books are already divided into acts, scenes and episodes and the sudden shifts in locale are almost written for cinema.
The subject matter is superbly chosen for the stories and compares favorably to Star Trek Next Generation or Battlestar Galactica. The settings and personalities of the TV show are extremely similar right down to the technical nerdiness. The story line is unique, however, and quite compelling. Though probably too rich for mainstream audiences; In the hands of the right producer these books could be a series of successful independent or HBO movies.
Great story--needs an editor for polishing
Love the multi-faceted story, characters, action, tech, plot twists, and setting. However, I cringe while reading due to the numerous spelling errors, punctuation and capitalization mistakes, awkward and/or incomplete sentences, and grammar problems. Please pay a professional editor to put the polish on these books. This one reads like a sneak preview before the final copy is ready.
