As a booked and busy Private Detective, Veronica Swan is trying to untangle a thorny case of sabotage – but when her client is killed it becomes clear there's a lot more than poisoned pumpkins at stake.

Feeling responsible for a murder, Veronica is going to do all she can to track down the killer, even if doing so puts her own life in danger. Fortunately, Westhaven's handsome sheriff is also working to untangle the truth, although Veronica doubts his methods. Will they be able to figure out who is responsible before they can strike again?
