Spiritual Nudity

Many people would run down Main Street with no clothes on before they would reveal their deepest thoughts and desires to their partner. They would prefer physical nudity in public long before they would tolerate spiritual nudity in private.



Yet, intimacy requires spiritual nudity. Intimacy requires exposing our thoughts, dreams, fears, and doubts to our partner. If we desire intimacy, we must allow our partner to know us as we truly are, not a sanitized version.



To stand before our partner, naked in body and spirit, is to let our partner know us at the deepest and most personal level. It is to welcome our partner into our own private world—a world in which we and our partner are the only inhabitants. We can open the door to that world only by attaining spiritual nudity.



Spiritual Nudity examines three skills crucial to romantic love: introspection, communications, and intimacy. The book discusses the importance of each skill and provides processes for developing those skills.
