Spores Expose Pores

I wrote these poems shortly after entering a small resting period that followed a spiritual conquest: learning about and practicing Buddhism, visiting monasteries, diving into psychedelic medicine, and creating a new life vision that included travel plans with poetic destinations. I was discovering layers of self-love that brought forth my inner power. This enabled me to embrace my unique soul-journey. The poems were written over a three week period in the beginning of the Oregon winter. The trees were just beginning to show their barren branches. The rain was sharp and cold.
