This latest effort by conservatives to discredit FDR and his administration accuses many in the Roosevelt administration including FDR's closest adviser, Harry Hopkins of acting in Soviet interests. The authors say that the bombing of Pearl Harbor, for instance, was partly the result of pro-Soviet American diplomats aiding Stalin in deflecting a Japanese attack on the U.S.S.R. Former Indianapolis News editor Evans (Blacklisted by History) and former federal and congressional intelligence adviser Romerstein (The Venona Secrets) blame the Soviet infiltration of the federal government in part on an ailing and unfocused FDR. At Yalta, they say, reputed Soviet agent Alger Hiss persuaded the president to make inordinate concessions to Stalin. Even Eleanor Roosevelt, say the authors, was "at the top" of "pro-Red policy influences." Instead of political and military expedience, the authors see Soviet sympathy, as in Harry Hopkins's efforts to keep Stalin in the WWII alliance. The authors present a controversial case that is undermined by source material that even they admit is "fragmentary and episodic."

A great book! A much needed book!
But, it is only the beginning in uncovering the massive subversion of not only US and the West foreign policies, and the scale of industrial and military espionage, but of the most importantly, the subversion of the entire western culture and values. The subversion of the economic system, the media, the education, the family, the race relationship, you name it. Just see what had been happening to US, and the Western World , and what role those influenced by the communists played in it and to what's devastating effects it is still playing. There are people educated, nurtured, and influenced by the communists or their lies and ideology on all level of the society TODAY. In the beginning of 20th century, Lenin and his bolsheviks-later-communists were the ones, who worked relentlessly to help to undermine and destroy the traditional society. They perfected the strategy and tactics of subversion, which they successfully practiced in the destruction of Europe and Russia. Stalin was a good student of Lenin, but obviously, the western leaders up to now have no clue, though the huge manmade crises, and society divided and distorted, are right in their face. You have to be ignorant, incompetent, or both, to not see how this communist conspiracy took roots, developed, and then keep on unfolding up on until now, bringing all Western World to the huge crises we are in now. The most major media are the communist drones, so are DEMs party leadership. GOP is compromised too. The biggest problem is that most members are not evil, but just cowards, ignorant, or immoral careerists.
