Standing Strong

“Pioneer Publishers and Digital Storytellers Guild is a group of Oregon State University History, Media and Sociology students and faculty advisors. Our goal is to bring Oregon’s History, Heritage and the Humanities into the 21st. century.  We acknowledge and embrace the power of hand-held devices (tablets, Smartphones & laptops) to educate, engage, and inform. This digital publication is the result of collaborative effort by students in a NMC 406 (New Media Communication) pilot course. In early spring 2013 we visited the Gathering of Nations Powwow at the State Capital Fairgrounds in Salem Oregon.  This publication is a celebration of that event.
