Customer Reviews
perfect for fans of Padmé
Padmé is my comfort character and this novel did her justice I don’t know if any other author could bring. From the intricacies of naboo politics and her wardrobe to diving deeper into Padmé’s relationship with her handmaidens- Sabé in particular. If you’re looking for an action packed novel this isn’t for you, but if you love the galactic politics of the republic and getting to explore Padmé’s character on a deeper level, beyond just her relationship with Anakin.
Baseless fan fiction
I couldn’t get halfway through this book before throwing it across the room. The author clearly researched the planets and technicalities of the law but forgot to research the characters. Obviously hired by Disney or worked closely with them because she treats Star Wars with the same “respect”
Disgusted by the open romance since it happens between soldiers who I thought were forbidden from it. Also, though I have absolutely nothing against the community, the lesbian handmaidens was just plain random and added nothing to the plot.
Other than that, I don’t remember if it’s this book but (spoiler 🙄) padme’s sister IS married. She doesn’t have a weird unmarried affair.
All that aside, 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 book, 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 recommend.
Uninteresting
This is much different than Ashoka’s book and I felt the story had no direct purpose, with too many characters and way to many details on clothes and surrounding worlds. I got bored with the details and felt the story could have been much different if it had been written differently. Also you have to know a few of the star wars characters to set you correctly and not get lost on their purpose.
