One of the Best in the Series
Love, love, love this book. I have the paperback, and will soon need to buy the ebook as my paperback is falling apart. Not from age or misuse, mind you,but from multiple readings. In my opinion, this is one of the very best books Ms. Kurland has written in this series. The characters are fresh, draw you in quickly, and make you frustrated, then disappointed that the book is over. Yes, one of the best she's done in the side of bringing a character forward in time, in the creative way she did. When first starting to read time travel romance (as I'm a History Buff) too many books had the same or very similar reasoning of how or why their 100, 200,300, etc year old character was in the modern day. Not so with Kurland, though a bit could be considered similar to others, she put her own spin on it and created a delightful ...lil curse, so to speak. One could not help but root for the Hero and of course the Heroine. Most of her books, though they are connected to this or that family, can stand on it's own, if you've never read one of her books. This will not be a waste of time or money. If you let it, it'll take you away to another place and away from all the mundane worries of the average day.
