Flanigan, J. By separate informations 1 defendant was charged with the rape and murder of Brenda Joyce Raines and the murder of Frank
Craig, each offense occurring on December 22, 1961. In 1962 the trial of the case involving the murder of Miss Raines resulted
in a conviction and a sentence of death. On appeal that judgment was reversed and the cause remanded. State v. Williams, 369
S.W.2d 408 (Mo. banc 1963).
