State Utah v. Julio Gary Valdez

FACTS. - Valdez became engaged to April, and a dispute developed between him and his former girlfriend, Carolyn, who asserted that he had fathered her child Christopher. Carolyn and Christopher were killed. Two sets of soil samples were taken from Valdezs truck, the first with his consent and the second by search warrant. April, under pressure from police and in exchange for immunity, consented to a search of her and Valdezs home.
