Publisher Description

1 Troney Cross appeals from a corrected judgment of conviction for attempted first-degree intentional homicide as a party to the crime, and from a post-conviction order summarily denying his motion for a new trial. The issue is whether trial counsel was ineffective for failing to impeach a principal prosecutorial witness with his three prior convictions. We conclude that Cross has not established, in the context of the entire record, that trial counsels failure to impeach that witness with his three prior convictions was prejudicial to the defense while considering that witnesss multiple credibility problems and his role as the getaway driver who was not at the scene of the shooting. Therefore, we affirm.
