Publisher Description
May 9, 1950, the grand jury of Freeborn county, Minnesota, returned an indictment against Mrs. Viola Gavle, charging her with murder in the first degree. She was tried, convicted, and on June 24, 1950, sentenced to life imprisonment in the womens reformatory. She moved to have the verdict set aside and for a new trial. This motion was denied, and she has appealed from the denial of her motion and from the judgment of conviction.
