In the summer of 1976, eight-year old Bridget Feeney disappeared from her home.

In the summer of 2016, she returned. Still eight years old.

Where has she been in the meantime, why hasn't she aged, and why do people around her begin to take their own lives?

These are the questions that concern her only surviving relative, Tony, a police officer, Sabrina Newman, and Bridget's foster parents, Lisa and Alan Parkinson, and a Catholic Priest, Father Hennesy.

Is it possible that Bridget has been sent back down to Earth as a conduit from the Angel of Death, to cleanse the planet so that Creation can start again? If that's so, must she be killed to preserve humanity?
