Stealing America by Dinesh D’Souza | Key Takeaways, Analysis & Review
Stealing America: What My Experience with Criminal Gangs Taught Me About Obama, Hillary, and the Democratic Party is a nonfiction book by neoconservative political commentator Dinesh D’Souza. Stealing America argues that the Democratic Party’s campaign to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor amounts to theft. He contends that Democratic leaders such as President Barack Obama and presidential contender Hillary Clinton use lies and demagoguery to justify their intentions to redistribute wealth. The Affordable Care Act, for example, has not lived up to Obama’s promises to lower health-care insurance premiums and overall health-care costs. Objective is right there!
I especially liked the section that explored the power of envy. Proponents of redistribution of wealth exploit the feeling of envy, making those who have little covet the riches of others. Eureka does a great job analyzing this theme of "Stealing America," while being objective. With the upcoming presidential election, this quick read is a great deal.
Really powerful
Another great Eureka review. "Stealing America" by D'Souza is a deeply conservative book outlining the evils of the Democratic party and tears apart the belief in the redistribution of wealth. The charged political argument of D'Souza would normally turn me off, so it was great to read a non-biased analysis and review of his non-fiction book. This review condenses D'Souza's message into 11 key takeaways, and presents them concisely and without bias, allowing you as the reader to decide for yourself if the Democratic party is really on par with criminal organizations and gangs.
Democrats are everything
I'd like to point out that this is a summary of D'Souza's "Stealing America" and is not the original book. This book is meant for those who don't have time to read the original, want a quick version of the book, or want to see if they would be interested in reading the original. This book is divided into 11 key takeaways that analyze the book's main points. As a republican, I enjoyed reading this book and agreed with many of the author's viewpoints. "Stealing America" discusses democrats' justifications for redistribution of wealth and why it is wrong. If you are interested in politics and are more conservative in your political opinions, you will enjoy this book.
