Steepwharf

Magic is a death sentence in the city of Steepwharf.

Lena knows the myths and why magic is feared but has no reason to consider the penalty until her cousin Selgen's wrongful arrest. Unsure who to trust, Lena breaks him from prison, and enlists the help of her friend, Avild, to smuggle them out of the city.

Leaving Steepwharf isn't enough. The men who tricked Selgen into using magic are looking for someone. An heir to the mythical Stone King who can revive his dormant magic. Avild reasons Lena and Selgen must leave the continent, or otherwise be caught. Lena is determined to find out why her family is targeted, and how it relates to the Stone King.
