Life in the 'Pale' wasn't easy, however, the life of a Jew is seldom easy. In this, the story of one family's generations, young Batya will experience heart wrenching loss and a love for the ages. Enduring a hatred of her people so overwhelming it spawns pogroms, and Nazi death camps, she stands on the arena of history to witness revolutions, world wars and the birth of a nation. Through the ignorance of innocence she will experience the worst that man can conjure and the best that he can envision.
