Still Standing

A “shotgun wedding” begins Cynthia’s marriage to an unstable man with a real gun.  He celebrates fatherhood by playing Russian roulette with his baby, and spends the next year in jail for armed robbery. Abused by her first husband, and after her divorce, by a series of manipulative boyfriends and male bosses, Cynthia breaks down more than once…only to be ill-treated by mental health professionals. But she pulls through, finding her strength from a patient and caring man who becomes her husband for life.
